Flight Training in Detroit area

I am leaving in Troy, Michigan. I am looking for a good Flight Training School around me. I didn't decided yet between Sport or Private License. How much would cost in this days ? Also, when you start the training you need Insurance too ?

I know it's far away, but I used to work at Oakland Flight Service(Called American Aces now) at New Hudson. I believe you are "east side" in troy. Not familiar with who's operation is going out of there now.
