Question Atlanta Flight Schools

I currently have my PPL, instrument rating, and high performance endorsement. I’m looking to continuing with my commercial, multi-engine, ATP, CFI and CFII within the next year or two.

On here and several other places you always read about ATP Flight Schools. Both good reviews, and bad reviews.

Well, besides ATP, does anyone have any recommendations on flight schools where I can get the rest the items listed above at? I received my PPL/Instrument from a flight school at KRYY in Kennesaw.

Falcon aviation academy is pretty good. 61/141 school with different locations in the ATL. PDK CCO and FFC. Decent instruction and equipment.

The problem with ATL flight schools is they are way overpriced!!! They're are some really nice schools and equipment but after your PVT and IRA the commercial is going to be expensive! Almost every complex single in the ATL area that I am aware of costs $250-350/hr with tax and the CFI included. That is just straight robbery in my opinion!

I guess the Arrow that AeroAtlanta has at RYY is best price for a nice aircraft around. Its around $185/hr plus tax and CFI last time I checked. But that's still right at $250/hr!

My suggestion would be to do all you can in the cheapest 172/152 you can find. Get really proficient with your airmanship and knowledge then jump in the complex.

At Falcon, you can get a 182RG with CFI for less than $200 per hour.
