This is bad news for instructors and an ugly reality for the overall state of the industry (who needed a reminder?). But looking on the bright side, some of us are going to benefit from less pilots joining the race.

We'll have to see. Insurance is kicking flight training in the butt. Not to mention fuel costs (maybe an alternative will come) and schools taking a larger chunk. It's beginning to look less feasible for a lot of people who would have tried flight training, and now with banks cutting the umbilical cord, it will get tight.

Im sorry guys, posted the wrong post in the wrong thread! silly me!
Anyway, I know a writer for AOPA flight training mag, he told me this not to long ago. Sad news for some, but the truth is....it's good news for those realy good pilots out there who deserve a chance to make a living at what they are good at.

True, the industry have been sucking harder than a hoover since 2008.
It will turn around. But our mission should be to improve the industry, and not just take first/only opportunity out there. Thats the only way were going to get ouf of this funk in which this industry currently resides.
