Make sure you love flying first. Take into account the fact that anything loses some of it's luster over the years.

Please correct me if I'm wrong - but without the bar exams out the way with you're not a "lawyer" yet. In the way that you can't 'practice' law as a lawyer. You can probably do great paralegal work (they too make good money I think).

Until you haven't done your bar you're neither a 'lawyer' and until you don't have your pilot certificates you're neither a 'pilot'.

Personally, I admire your dreams - but either way (bar or aviation) you still have a way to go.

I had to edit this with an apology to the original poster - he didn't claim to be a lawyer, but claimed to have a law degree (I made the assumption).

As previousely stated, get your ratings first, then re-visit your options. After spending some time as a student, you will have experience that you did not previousely have. With each rating you achieve, you will have even more experience to help you look some decisions in the eye.

Get a PPL, then spend some time flying for fun. If you don't like it enough to do that, there's no way you should pursue a career.
