I don't have any stickers in my logbooks. Is this something new?

Me too. The Avery Wizard makes it easy. Select that you want to print a different thing on each label, and you can use the same sheet multiple times.

Instead of hand-writing every endorsement it's easier to print them on sticky-paper.

Tony, they now give out gold stars for students who've behaved...:p

Instructors now use their computers to print endorsements on stickers to put in student logbooks. I can understand the practice if you have a ton of students, but I always preferred writing mine in the book, and having a hand-written endorsement.

It also has something to do with the fact that the quickly scribbled endorsement 'OK for pattern solo' has now been replaced with "I certify that First Middle Last has received adequate solo flight training in a <Type> and is competent to operate that airplane in solo flight at the Anytown Airport, subject to the following limitations... /s/ John Alan Doe 12345123CFI Exp 11/08." (or something along those lines  .)

You may try checking the back of the logbook to see which endorsements are already there, then print off stickers only for the ones you want more detail on. All our students are pretty much in the cessna pilot center program and therefore they all have the same logbooks which makes it nice.

Yeah. Especially after the FAA nailed some CFI for "okay to solo."

blackbox, as RomeoSierra said, just grab AC 61-65E, MS-Word, and an Avery template. That's what I did.

That's not really a recent development. 61-65 has been around the block a few times. Easiest way to do the endorsement, plus it's an easy way to check to make sure all the endorsements are set before sending a student for any kind of checkride.
