Helicopter Flight Schools in DFW
 

Anyone know anything about helicopter flights schools in Dallas/Fort Worth? The only one I've heard much about is Epic Helicopters in Fort Worth based out of Meacham. Their staff has always been courteous over the phone, and when I toured their facility it was extremely nice...they even showed me their maintenance hangar and I met their mechanics.

I'd love to go with Epic, but it's over an hour drive from where I live in far South East side of Dallas County. Anyone know of any other schools closer to my neck of the woods? Perhaps a private instructor?

There is Alpha Aviation in Grandbury. I used to maintain their choppers and they're a pretty good group.

There's one in Garland that does training and other stuff. Sky Helicopters maybe? Just read an article about them doing the news; flying for various stations (can't remember what magazine it was in though, sorry).

I think US flight academy has helicopter training now. i think they have a Robinson. Theyre in Denton. KDTO.
