250 hours how to get there

Buy a plane
Consider buying a Cessna 150. They are very cheap right now and you could be flying for much less. Not only do you have to make it to 250 but beyond as well. I have had great luck owning planes.
One of my friends bought an Aeronca champ instead of becoming a flight instructor and spent most of two years flying all over the country for next to nothing. It had a 65 hp motor and had to be hand propped but was a great time builder. He flew it to Alaska and down to south America as well.
When the goal is to build time getting there fast does not help.

Overated, no one needs a "G1000" checkout IMO. If you are going to fly G1000 equipped aircraft as a job, sure, but for pleasure, save your hard earned money and rent something without. Plus I think for most younger and competent folks, teh G1000 is easy to learn, especially if you have prior 430/530 experience.
