Default Another closure

AeronautX Flight Training, LLC located at North County General Aviation Airport (F45) in Palm Beach County, FL has closed. Here is a copy of the email that I got today.

Dear Friends of AeronautX Flight Training, LLC

We regret to inform you that mid day Friday we were given instructions by the owners of AeronautX Flight Training, LLC to shut down all operations on September 11, 2009. This of course would include India.

Quote: "Close the doors today and inform accordingly and direct any information requests from students, creditors etc. to Mr. Sheridin's office."

Mr Drew Sheridan is a attorney in Miami Florida and can be reached at 305-596-3368
Address: 7765 SW 87th Avenue, Suite 102, Miami FL 33173-2535

The doors were locked and the appropriate signage was posted on all entrances. Also the employees were notified at the close of the business day on 9/11/09

It is our understanding that AeronautX Flight Training, LLC is in the process of filing for protection under chapter seven of the United States of America Federal Bankrupsy Laws.

Best regards,

The Management

It's unfortuate that another school has closed. I believe that this one closed for lack of students and not because of any underhanded shananigans going on. I had once considered on attending this training facility.

Hopefully this and many others are a warning not to pay a large sum of money upfront for flight training.

I almost paid 120k plus for atp... I am so glad I didn't.

Also, in this unstable economy, my job still has good security...

Rumor has it that there are some students that lost A LOT of money when these guys closed up last week.

I know I've heard your signature quote before... but I can't for the life of me remember where it came from.... I wanna say it was from 'Thank you for smoking' but I'm not sure.

wrx:

Probably is true. I visited the school a few times just to check things out. Never really saw students "buzzing" around the briefing rooms like I've seen at other schools. Besides they were expensive as hell.

ref wrxpilot, yes, I was one of the unfortunate instructors working at the flight school. I had a student who invested a 5 figure sum of money after transferring to this school. Both students and instructors were " blind sided"

Good God! $120K to ATP? What was that going to buy you... an ATP with 1000 hours TPIC and a PhD in "Aviation Management"?

I'm glad you didn't too.
