Any Flight Schools hiring in the Cincy area?

I was curious on how the Schools in Cincinnati OH were doing and if any were hiring at the moment. In addition I was curious to know whether UC and Sporty's were hiring outside instructors as well. Thanks.

UC/Sporty's are one in the same as far as flight instruction goes... at least that's how it was when I went through there 5 years ago. Sporty's usually only hires internally, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try.

Lunken flight training center is at Lunken and on the north side of the city, you can check out Blue Ash airport and Butler County regional. There are a couple of skydiving outfits between Cincy and Dayton that might be worth looking into. Not sure if anybody is hiring though, it seems like there has always been an over abundance of pilots in the Cincy/Dayton area for some reason.

I agree. It seems like I've been asking this same question and looking for an answer that just won't happen. My wife won't stop nagging me with how bad she wants to move back to Cincy. I personally like the place myself although getting employed there makes it challenging.

Ya... With Comair falling apart, there are a ton of pilots looking for work and more to follow. PSA Airlines in Dayton might be hiring... but that's about it that I am aware of.

Thanks Diver. What's your opinion about surrounding areas like Indy, Dayton or Columbus? Do you think that they may be flocked as well?

Being relatively close to Indy, I can tell you it's saturated for the most part. I haven't heard of many openings in any variety of flying recently, especially in the CFI market(and this is coming from a DPE I know)

Thanks gentlemen. I had high hopes that things may be changing but it looks like it will stick around a bit more.

last I heard PSA was accepting resumes but still have 33 on furlough
