Part 141 schools w/ commercial multi initial

Are there any Part 141 schools with initial commercial being done in multi airplane instead of the single engine commercial?

We are trying to implement this and trying to convince our FSDO with a well written syllabus.

Thanks..

FlightSafety Academy does...recently just changed the syllabus too, so it's broken down into individual "courses" instead of one big zero-hero syllabus.

I think many of the contact pilot mills do Commercial Multi-Initial. TransPac, IASCO, ATP all do it without the Comm single, or the comm single is just an add on.

Must be nice not having to do those damn Pylon 8s... but I actually think that the loss of Chandells and Lazy 8s would hurt one's skill as a pilot. I REALLY understood aerodynamics studying Lazy 8s. Pylon 8s are just useless :) (kidding!)

They actually do single engine comm maneuvers in the time building phase after private, with a stage check at the end held to commercial PTS...which can be a lot to ask for from a pilot with 75 hrs or so.

And yes...I hate teaching 8s on pylons. I remember as a student getting so mad when I had to do them haha. Apparently that maneuver came from old warbirds that had guns on the side, and the pilot had to pivot around the target. Anyone else hear that same thing??

Well it makes sense. I tell my student's its what Spectra gunships do. So as a minor ice breaker to the maneuver, I tell my students we have fixed guns on the side of the airplane and are looking to shoot up some intersections and silos. They usually get a kick out of it, but yeah, I hate the maneuver.

We have a part 141 Commercial pilot course that the initial rating is done in a multi-engine airplane. We designed the syllabus in such a way that immediately after earning the multi commercial students are prepared to get the single engine add on if they want it.
