If you are ready to take a checkride, you should able to figure it out for yourself. I got mine damaged and within minutes I found out how to get a new one. There are even other threads on this forum that cover it. You can also go to the FAA's website and search there. It is easy and takes about 2 weeks and $1.00. You will not have it in time for your checkride, but your damaged one may be fine depending on the examiner. You only need the exam ID and raised seal, but some DEs are picky.

Default Iacra

As long as you have the ID number on the top right of the form and are entering everything into IACRA for your checkride, you won't need the physical results anyway..

You WILL need it with IACRA for the sole purpose of the examiner must verify the test name and number are correct with what is in the IACRA system.

You are correct that with IACRA the written no longer needs to be submitted with the 8710.

If you can still read the test Id number, name, and embossed seal you should be alright unless if you have some crotchy grumpy DE.

Can't you just go back to the laser grade test center and get a duplicate printed out? I seem to recall there was a fee (nominal) to get a duplicate. I am not sure since mine was almost 5 years ago and the school I work at does them all internally so the students never deal with the actual report.

I absolutely hate it when people get into my car and mess stuff up. Getting into someone's car is just as personal as going into their house- you should respect their stuff. Before that bozo got into your car, you would think that they would have the respect to at least move the paper out of the way........ and if they were really nice to pick it up off the ground..... and if they were a saint.... to even bring the paper in question to your attention and see if it was important to you. But the shmuck just stomped his nasty wet feet all over it and now your screwed. If I were you I would have kicked him out of my car and dropped him off in the middle of nowhere and let him walk back maybe this way he'll learn a lesson and don't anyone dare comment saying that it wasn't in view and therefore it was stepped on by accident... BULL****!!!! That as********saw the thing on the ground and just chose to stomp his wet paws on it.

Oh, by the way merry Christmas everyone.

Most people would think a piece of paper on the floor of a car was not something that important. A cheap folder would have saved all of this headache. Take a lesson away from this and start keeping important paperwork somewhere safe and the back of a college student's car isn't that place. If your dog eats your dinner, do you blame the dog for being a dog or yourself for leaving it where the dog can get it?

Yes I agree a cheap folder would have saved all this headache. Sort of rediculous that it would be out in the open like that. Placing it in the back of a car was insanity if you really think about it.

Well an important document shouldn't be on the floor of a car to begin with...
