Default Sporty's or King For Instrument Ground School?

What is your experience with the DVD instrument courses offered by these two? I have heard that King's is a little bit better because of the graphics but I also heard the Sporty's is great because of the pracitcal portion it shows....Any advice?

All the students that I have had that used King DVDs have done really well on the written, but almost had to start from scratch on the ground knowledge. I am not familiar at all with the Sporty's, but from what I have seen, I don't like the King Course, at all. FWIW.

Some of my prior students didn't like the Sporty's version because they thought the presentation wasn't serious and too many inside jokes were in it. Go for the King version

i thought the King version had quite a bit of lame humor in it too, however, they presented the material very well.

Although I find John and Martha to be scary, I'd go for the King stuff. I took a look at both of them and wasn't impressed by what Sportys had to offer.

See if you can get demo disks from your FBO or Pilot shop and see which one you like better.

SPORTY'S!

Dont suffer through John and Martha. I made the switch and could not have been happier. In my opinion, Sporty's were slightly more entertaining than the King series.

If all you are doing is test prep, simply buy a Gleim study guide an memorize the darn thing...
