Default Instructing at both part 61 and 141

Hi,

I plan on becomming a cfi next fall in my universitys aviaton program. I do plan on doing well with all of their reviews and get good grades to get hired by them. However, If I dont get hired right away would it be ok to try and get a job instructing at a couple of part 61 schools close to my house? Do you think the part 141 program( my school) would be less likely to hire me if I previously taught in a part 61 school?

Thanks!

Yes, get experience as a CFI.

No, they would be more likely to hire you since you would have experience as a CFI especially if you trained at their 141 school.

There aren't that many 141 schools hiring all the time, but you can always find a Part 61 school that is hiring. I taught at a 141 school for a few years and am now at a Part 61 school.

When I applied at Delta Connection Academy a couple of years ago, they didn't ask me if I taught at a 141 or 61 school, they only asked me if the flight school that I trained at was 141 (it was), how many hours of "dual given" I had, and if I had my CFII and MEI.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand your question.
