Sporty's maybe? You know they also have a desktop sim for the G1000 that costs maybe $20 on the Garmin site.

I looked all over Garmin and couldn't find that. I'm trying to help a friend out, don't think she has a desktop. Moving around quite a bit right now (survey pilot).

Garmin G1000 PC trainers (Go to Accessories, then click on PC Trainers.)

Maybe they could overnite one to you.

Possibly, thank you. But sitting at your desktop still doesn't compare to sitting in a sim like you'll have to do in the interview.

No but it could shorten the learning curve drastically in the loggable sim. Also, many of the G1000 partial simulators ie. with real working panel but lacking anything else, are way out of date and you would want to supplement it.

Why are you looking for a glass cockpit sim? Can't think of many places that use glass sims in the interview process. Probably better off brushing up on basic instrument stuff and stick and rudder skills.

Sporty's is probably your best bet, they are a Cessna dealer. I know they have demo equipment laying around. Act interested in buying a G1000 equipped plane and you could probably get yourself some free hands on practice in the real plane with a sales rep coaching you around.

Eagle uses a G1000 Baron Frasca..they don't expect you to really know how to work all the bells and whistles though..best advice of why to practice the G1000 before the interview is because your scan is completely different than what you're used to on steam gauges.
