Flight School Recommendations in Houston?

Any recommendations for good flight schools in the Houston area? I have my eyes on West Houston Airport because of its proximity to my house, but I'd like some advice from former students.

I plan to work full time and take lessons part-time. Part 61.

How are the instructors? Check ride pass rates? Rental Rates? Availability of planes?

Whatever you decide...best of luck to you. I had some fun moments in training and still have much to learn about Aviation. The cross country phases are a blast!

There are plenty of freelance instructors out there, some with their own plane.
You may want to think about posting this around nearby airports on those boards with planes for sale.

Anson Air in Sugar land! If you're closer to West Houston than this may be a bit of a drive for you. I've been associated with about 8 flight schools and have seem some pretty good, and pretty bad ones. This was definitely one of the better. Nice planes, well maintained, treated well, and kept their word. What more could you ask for?
