Is an aviation career worthwhile?
Ok. First off,i am now in a 2-yr college and planning to transfer to UND next fall for a aviation degree.
What i am trying to do right now is to get my CPL then try to get a job in Cathy Pacific. Heard some rumor about its bad paid but according to its website i can starts as a SO (after few months training) with around $6G/mo. that actually sounds pretty good to me.
I also got around $110K from my dad for college, and i guess that should be enough.
I just want to know what you guys think about it.

yeah..i spent a few hours doing research and seems that being a SO in cathy is pretty depressing..
But then again if i survive that, according to its website Cathay Pacific - Careers : Careers Home
being in that hellhole for a few years can get me a pretty good paid job..
What i want to know from you guys is, does this whole "planning" thing sounds good to you guys? Like, getting a CPL form school than get a job as cadet?

I mean would you be so willing to except everything on the US Army's recruiting website as the gospel if you were looking into joining the Army or would you be rather skeptical? I've sure you've heard about the similarities between a Recruiter and a Politician who's speaking right?
