Flight Training

Im Tyler, Im 24 years old trying to get into a Middle Georgia flight school/college in Eastman Ga. I have my private pilot's license. I work for Delta in atlanta, but If im going to do the school I will have to find a job down there and take a leave from Delta. If anyone could help with some contacts or knows anyone who can help please send me a reply back.

Thanks,

Tyler.

Hey tyler,

I am a Delta employee as well, you can only take a personal leave after 3 yrs of continuous service, for up to 2 years. I dont think you should have to leave though. I am going to flight school in KFFC and attend online courses. You have many choices in ATL as well, GSU, GA tech you name it that you can stay local. I am planning on taking a leave when I find a flying gig wherever it might come from. The beautiful think about leaving Delta is that even if you quit completely you always keep your employee number. I am assuming you are prolly in ACS?

Check out,

Falcon Aviation Academy in KFFC, KCCO, KPDK, KAHN.

At one point GSU had a flight program but I think they took it away a couple of years ago.

Just some ideas from a DL colleague on the same path.

Try going Ready Reserve. I think the are 3 on 4 off. I tried to drive back and forward but it didn't work.
