Fulfill my Dream
Hello Everybody,
I'm 24 yrs old and i'm from Israel , since i can remamber my self my dream was to be an airline pilot, In Israel the civilian aviation field is very weak as we have only 3 airlines all over(weird ha). Few months a go i did my PPL in the States and now i want to move to the States and make all the licences and accumulate hours, nevertheless I have a lot of difficulty such as citizenship even if i'll have the licenses and enough hours i'll not be able to work. i have a lot of spirit and desire for flying just looking to hear your thought guys Thanks |
I'd say go for it, but take your time. :)
I'm sure you won't have a problem getting a job down here in South Florida, none of the illegal Cuban immigrants seem to have any trouble. It may not be the best job in the world though... Just get a job and get your certs at a local FBO. |
Thank's Gotherik,
You talking about flight instructor job? where do you live in Florida? |
I live south of Miami.
Do you have enough money saved to pay for your training? If not, I would think you could move here, get a normal, non-pilot job (work at an FBO sweeping floors, doing bookwork, etc.) and use that income to pay for your training. Some FBOs even have internship, where you get free lessons in exchange for working with them. Once you get your CFIs, you might be able to start instructing for money (no more sweeping floors!), and use that income to pay for your commercial instruction, and so-on. This way you're getting paid to fly, building hours (which you need for an airline job), and getting CASH to pay for your training (getting paid to fly, so you can afford to fly some more!). Keep in mind I'm only a private flyer, so I'm just going on what other's have told me. I would suggest getting legal citizenship before you come here. |
Thank's again,
I guss this is what I'll do in the end Regarding to the legal citizenship well i wish it was so simple but i'll try my best |

In all honesty, you could come over here, marry a cute American girl, and wait it out for (I think 4) years, and get citizenship--but that's the easy way. :p Keep us posted, and do everything responsibly, think it all out before you do it. And if you ever need a contact in South Florida, I'll be around. |
Thank you for kind words,
I guess Green card will be enough for me, and in regards to the cute American girl it's could be nice. I definitely will keep you all posted Have a great weekend |
