Default Flight Schools Near Toledo, OH

Dear friends, I'm searching for a Flight school in Toledo area for my IR,CPL,MER,CFI,CFII and MEI. Because my cousin is currently doing his P.HD in Toledo. So I can be with him till my training finished. I am doing my PPL here SriLanka and now It is about to finish. And that flight school must be school with International programs.

So anyone know a better place near or at Toledo area for my training?? Your kind suggestions kindly appreciated.

I don't have any experience with the following company, but when I was looking for multi time this was one of the places I was considering. It seems like they have a good program.

Stewart Aviation in Wauseon, Ohio

When you are doing your check rides see if you can get Leo Eggert to be your examiner. I took a sea plane ride with him and he was very fair.

Roger that. Thanks for your advise and this not a school with International programmes. I contacted another school in Monroe. But that also same.

Try Suburban Aviation at Toledo Suburban Airport (KDUH). I don't know much about them personally, but I met a guy several years ago who did his private and instrument training there. He said it was a good place to fly.

If you're out of college and don't need your ratings to count as class time towards a degree, then Suburban is the best in the area for any/all single engine stuff. Commercial might be tough for the complex part of the requirement (see below).

Avoid them for any multi work though. Reason? They are in a partnership with Eastern Michigan University and EMU has a POS Seminole. I mean this thing is crap and they charge crazy amounts for it as well. Plus it involves a ferry flight from YIP to DUH each time you're scheduled. Same goes for their single engine complex airplane (see above).

Plus the VOR-A into DUH at night is my favorite approach!

Overall, Suburban is a great little airport with great single engine equipment. Right now they have one/two C172's and a Skycatcher with all the bells and whistles for a pretty respectable price. The rate is lowered if you join their renters club. They do have a pretty decent high performance C206 available as well.

If you want a college program, try BGSU. Your basic 141 program with some pretty good, friendly people.

You may not have much to pick from, as the area has seen some tough times recently. Might try looking at Solo Aviation or Michigan Flyers in Ann Arbor. There's not much at KYIP other than Eagle, the other half of Suburban. Otherwise, you're looking at quite a drive from the Toledo area. PM me - I live in the area.
