Wonderful.... A guy always looking for the easy road......

The guy is being smart. There is no sense in making it more difficult then it needs to be. He is way past the "its gonna make me a better pilot, I got .3 of actual today, how many hours did it it take to solo level". At this point, all that matters is politics. Just check the box and be done.

It's just common sense. I cared about my grades. Whoever didn't pick classes the way I did either didnt care or didn't know. I graduated with high honors. Of all the local DPE's, there was always one more popular than the rest. It was the one with the highest pass rate. I always used that DPE until I had to goto the FSDO for my CFI. I found that examiner to be easy too. So either I'm good or lucky.

I am a 121 guy that did my atp through All ATP's. Don't worry, they will send you a bunch of info you will need to know before you go, at least where I went did. You will go up for 2 hours, come back and go in the sim for an hour, and then go fly for another two hours. Checkride next day. 3k seems pretty expensive, I got mine for 995 but they had a sale which they aren't doing anymore unfortunately. Just keep looking around and you might find a deal.

Save your money. I got mine. Number of calls for an FO with an ATP with 0 PIC? 0

Not worth the money. Unless you have some fantastic in somewhere, it'll make you meet the minimums, but won't make you competitive.

Consider getting a Single Engine ATP. That's what I did and it let me meet the requirements for my first job. Consider the advantages:

The written will now never expire. I took it three times while building time and waiting for the money to get a multi ATP.

It is much cheaper.

Your certificate will not have the "commercial privileges SE Land limitation"

You will have your ATP.

My first commuter job required an ATP. They didn't care in what. When I took my first type ride (EMB110) the commercial multi restriction was removed and I got the type.

Cheers!
