i asked exactly what i needed to know, honestly, where i came from and why i was doing both was irrelevant, the untimely responses was because of me studying my butt off to pass, I only passed judgement because Cubdriver jumped right to calling me a pretender when i said i was doing both, I am not sure why A.) i was callled a pretender and B.) why my question was incomplete, i was simply asking for a gouge for the Columbus FSDO or any info pertaining to them. hawker driver thanks for your input, i was mainly directing my attitude towards cub driver, calling me a pretender and all, but also the info you gave me was very vague, those are "common errors" that basically most CFI candidates are aware of, and I already had the ASA Oral Exam prep

1. I did not call you a pretender- I said you sound like one up to this point. I was, and still am trying to get you to take responsibility for how you sound in public. I guess I am not doing very well, but not everyone wants good advice.

2. CFIs use proper punctuation, grammar, and they write in complete sentences. We are not grammar nuts on the whole, but it is a matter of basic professionalism to write and speak in complete sentences, capitalize the first word of every sentence etc. You should start doing this if you want to be a taken seriously as a teacher. It is a fundamental skill upon which other skills hinge. We have to be able to drive a car, manage a bank account, read NOTAMs, explain ourselves, and communicate clearly. You need to be able to do these kinds of things if you plan to be a successful flight instructor.

3. Your situation is fairly unique if you are taking more than one CFI exam at one sitting. If you did not know that, then I am telling you now. For us here to know that you are taking two exams at one sitting would be highly unusual. That's why I asked you for clarification. If you can't handle a simple question like that, imagine what your students or examiners are going to think when you buckle under some pressure. They WILL be asking themselves if you are a pretender as much or more than I do. Assuming you are not, then you need to get ready to show it to people. This would be a good time to start taking responsibility for the way you come across to other professionals.

Cheers, and good luck on your exams.
