Default Commercial experience

so it says
(iii) One 2-hour cross country flight in a multiengine airplane in daytime conditions that consists of a total straight-line distance of more than 100 nautical miles from the original point of departure;
(iv) One 2-hour cross country flight in a multiengine airplane in nighttime conditions that consists of a total straight-line distance of more than 100 nautical miles from the original point of departure;

for multi-commercial. Does this have to include a landing at the point 100 NM away? I ask because the 300nm solo CC actually says "with landings..."

Without a landing >100nm from originator it would not be a x/c

Sure it would, so long as there were a landing >50 NM from the origination point.

I say you just land 100+ nm away and not worry about it..you sure don't want to have to plead your case to an examiner while he's checking your paperwork

Check out the definition of 'cross country' under 61.1. Technically, you could land somewhere 50 nm away, fly another 50 nm, and then go home, but how would you prove it? As others have stated, just land 100 nm away and then there's no doubt.

Grab another multi student and do your cross countries together since you are in a plane that can actually cover some distance. That's what I did. I took off and flew for 2 hours then the other guy flew for 2 hours. We ended up 600+ miles from home base. Got some dinner and then turned around and did our night flights back. It was one of the best dual flights I ever had.
