It shouldn't take long. You'd have to ask about the King Air.

To get looked at for the king air, you'll need to have all ratings, maintain an extremely high pass rate, have a fairly clean discipline history with the company (I didn't), ~1200 dual given, over three hundred multi (with the company), over a year with the company, be a stage check instructor, be at tier 4 scale, wait for seniority, and Ideally be on the contract Chinese side.
Now those are subject to change based on need or changing CAAC regulations but that is in general what us current king air pilots had when we got in.

Define for me the following:

1. How do you get disciplined?
2. 1200 dual given at USAA or does prior dual count?
3. What is the pay scale like again? I know it has to do with dual hours given. Is there a ground rate and a flight rate?
4. What is on the opposite side from the contract chinese side?
5. If you fly 100 hours/month how much ground will you do and is all that paid?

A couple general questions:
1. How hard does the language barrier make it to instruct there?
2. Are they part 141 or part 61?
3. If you got into the Cae Simuflite Right Seat Support program at DFW, would you have any spare time to actually go fly the sim support sessions?

Thanks!

US Aviation is part 61 and 141, although without a doubt the part 141 side is larger.

As for the rest, maybe I can get an HR representative to come online an answer some of these questions more thoroughly.

If a guy flies 100 hours/month does he also teach ground as well?

I am calculating and $17/hour for 100 hours is still not much money... I hope there is some other way to make money...

Yes. 100hrs is just the flying. This doesn't count all of the other billable hrs (ground, sim. Etc)

1. All depends on the infraction... General is the three strike rule goes verbal to written warning to termination. Strikes will go down over time.
2. 1200 w/ company but that is just an of the hip answer. The number of KA pilots is so few that its really hard to answer this. We all have had varying times for KA upgrade.
3. Payscale goes from 15-21 in 2$ increments. King air is 25$ everything is the same rate.
4.The other side is international and domestic 61 or 141 training.
5. It depends on the student the load. About the average number that pops in mind with 100hrs flying is about 150-170 billed total (counting flying).

General q's
1. The language barrier although it isn't bad after experience, it's by far the hardest thing I've ever done. But the Chinese guys always show up and don't cancel. So by far more consistent on the month to month pay.
2. Chinese is all 141 and the other side is a mix of 141 and 61.
3. I can think of 5 or 6 guys who do outside right seat sim support programs from both sides. It has generally not been a problem.

Sorry for the delay, I didn't see the updates
Hope this answers some q's!

Thanks for the info.

Do you know how much dual you need to have to go from $17->$19, from $19-$21? Is it automatic?

What types of things do they discipline for - like being late or no-showing on a student or something? Does the student pass rate factor in a major way into how your performance is viewed?

How is DTO/DFW to live in? I am from MN and it is a hard sell to my wife to move to TX from MN. She says if we move she wants PHX.

I am interested in this school as well... If you could post some more info on the type of flying/instructing the KA instructors give that would be much appreciated. I have about 20 hours of KA200 time and I'm about to be done with my CFI. I expect to have my II and MEI by the end of the year.

I talked to their hiring guy today - Looks like close to 2000TT/500ME before you see the B-200. Teaching mostly turbine transition. Lots of seniority - somewhere between 10 months and a year is most likely what it would take.
