I like the idea on the pipeline program even though I have heard negative things about envoy. I'm not letting what I can't control help me to make my decision. And it's not about the money either but I have bills like everyone else so I'm basically considering all aspects and angles. This move would be permanent most likely and if I chose Denton I will be a resident of DFW for the foreseeable future considering envoy has a base there and I would only have to move once and not 2-3 times chasing opportunities. Looking at one school in Florida as well. I love sunny weather and beaches along with everything it brings lol but DFW would be more of a permanent thing than Florida at this point.
Three years ago I was in the same boat as you considering those same two schools. I had offers from both and ended up choosing the school in Florida since they offered to pay for my MEI. The two schools are very similar in operation. One thing that kind of scared me away from USAA was the fact that they wanted me to work at the Hondo location, which is way out in the middle of NOWHERE. Denton would be pretty sweet if that's what they are offering. Also I had a friend there who said if they got behind schedule any at all then you had to work on one of your off days. I had a little bit of a problem with that. At Aerosim I always had two days off every week if I wanted them, unless something crazy happened like a tropical storm blew through and shut the school down for a week. Then we would work a six day week after, and often times it was optional.

PM me if you have an other questions and I can share my experience with all of it.

Thanks Tinman1!!!!!!!!!!! When I show up at either school I plan on having my MEI CFII and CFI along with AGI and IGI. I hope I will be worth something to someone after all the hard work I've been putting in along with my ATP written out of the way also. I will be honest I love to fly and I don't mind working but I do believe in rest and relaxation and enjoying the sights and sounds (girls) of which ever location. I don't plan on having a holiday this year but I do plan on brushing up and being ready just like the back up quarterback ready to go into the game at any time. I've been saving money and getting ready to sell everything and start over fresh. Needless to say I'm ready for the challenge.

Wondering what it's currently like working at US Aviation Academy in Denton? QOL, instructor to student ratio, hours per month, etc. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I'm also curious if any of the instructors there are in the Envoy Pipeline program. Thanks.

We just rolled out a new pay structure which our recruiter, Erica Cassady, could tell you all about if you call or PM me for her email.

Hey Guys, a newbie here. I read abt the overall Work and training environment at USAA, Denton. I would like to know how the present scenario is ? How is the management, Students ratio, Maintenance and Specifically weather round the year at Denton?

I have been off Flying for sometime now, want to return back to flying, to what i have always loved. For now i have 260 hr TT, 30hrs ME time, Finished my ATP written last year, and planning to get CFI and CFII done. Hoping I can reach ATP minimums by next year if i work at USAA ?

Thanks.
