Utah Valley University

Does anyone know or have a link to the aircraft rental rates and instruction rates at Utah Valley University? Using their planes etc in Utah of course...

Thanks

Also, is there a list somewhere of their approved flight schools in order to get credit?

Been a while since I've looked on their website but I thought I remember seeing a course schedule or something with those rates in a PDF...

DALFA, hey man! I went to school in SLC flying out the out of the international at a school I won't name, but I can tell you we fly purple and white planes with Westminster College written on them.

Not to dog on UVU or college flying in general, but let me lay something on you. If you're set on a career in flying, do yourself a favor. Get your flight training from a flight school on the side and get a degree in something else, anything else!

In the long run you'll have a perfectly good degree to support your flying addiction/career, and you'll find outside of a college you can get flight training of equal quality and spare yourself from the high price and high level of bureaucracy you find in most college programs.

As for where to train, I would highly recommend Leading Edge aviation. They have a solid fleet, lots of good instructors, a great facility, and very competitive rates.

Once again I don't mean to get down on college aviation, I had a great time at school. Looking back on it a lot of years and a lot of money later I think for most people getting an aviation degree is just a big money pit.

Either way good luck to you my friend!

This +1100000000 ... That's why I did and I wouldn't recommend any other way. Enjoy learning about something else other than flying.

I found psychology pretty interesting and a great side set of knowledge that I use daily on the line at my 121 carrier.
