Flying clubs and schools on Long Island
 

I've been looking around for some decent places to rent a C172 on any of the Long Island airports but i've only been able to find a few places...and they're ALL overly priced. Anyone know of any place I can rent a C172 for under $120 per hour out on Long Island?

Cessna's are tough to find for that low around here, Better bet may be Pipers. I think the cheapest Cessnas are at Long Island aviators out of republic, for cheaper pipers you can check out "positive rate gear up flight club" or "nomis flying club". Their is also the gace flying club out of KISP that has some good deals as well.

Thank you! This is the information I was looking for. I'm doing the Hudson River Course at Heritage Flight Academy...but they charge around $150 per hour so that's a bit high.

If anyone knows of any other flight clubs...please feel free to post.

I have heard very mixed things about Heritage overall. The best flight school at KISP is Mid Island and they might be the best on LI but they are a bit pricey as well.
