If one would like to study the difference, where can one find the info? books? web? where?

Thank you very much!

I have a book called "From Takeoff to Landing" by Olle Akerlind, but it is no longer in print

I wouldn't want to read any more of it than I absolutely HAD TOO, but you could start with the FAA Order 8260.19D

I don't know why you'd need to study TERPs. Being aware of what it is should be enough for a pilot.

The biggest difference that you need to be mindful of is circling categories and protected distance from the runway, the index of Jepp charts does show that.

Wonder if someone is looking for a TERPS job. Military terpsters are paid pretty well, and there are very few civilian terpsters being trained right now, and demand is still high with military downsizing...end result, high salaries, and home every night.
