Default Will getting my ATPL help?

I've had the hours and the money to get my ATP for a while now (+3500, etc) and was wondering whether it was a good idea to get the ATPL. Would this make me more hire-able considering that I have a 135 checkride failure? Won't airlines pay for this?

Simple answer is yes. It will get you in the door quicker, they won't find out about the failure until you move onto the next step. Even then, 1 failure shouldn't break you if you come prepared to answer why it happened.

Not having your ATP is ridiculous. Get it.

You're at a serious disadvantage without the ATP, regardless of whether or not you ever fly at an airline.

For clarity, we are talking about an FAA ATP?

As opposed to a JAA ATPL?

They are two different things.
