Boeing 737 ferry flight

Am I legal to co-pilot a Boeing 737 on a ferry flight within Europe? I have the type on my ATP but have not done sim training since April 2010 for the B-737.
At present I am current on Boeing 727 and have that type on my ATP.

Look in 61.55.

A ferry flight in Europe conducted for a US 121 airline which employs you would be allowable under US FARs...assuming you follow 121 rules. But that would be hard if you're not 121-current on the type. If your company allows you to default to part 91 for non-rev flights (mine does not, but some do) that might allow you to fall back on 61.55 (which still requires recent training and LDGs), but I' not sure you would still be allowed to fly under US FARs in europe if you're not firmly in 121-land. Sounds sketchy.

If you're doing this freelance outside the auspices of a 121 carrier (contract ferry flight or repossession), then european rules would apply for sure. Got ATPL?

Within the EU, what country is it registered in? If US, you need to meet the annual 61.55 training req'ts.

Then FAR 91 and 61. So you probably would need some training and sim.

Twin Wasp 03-06-2013 07:33 PM

61.55 says you don't need any sim.

Recency on type I have from working with an Airline in the Middle East.
I have not had a PC from an FAA designated instructor or examiner since 3 years on the B-737.

I'll make this very easy. 61.55(b) and (g).

That clears it up, thanks
