Checkrides

I have heard that busting a 121 or 135 checkride is a whole lot worse than busting a checkride for a rating like CFII or MEI.

Just curious to know if this true or is a checkride bust all the same regardless of when it happens?

I entered "busted checkride" into the search box and got 10 pages of threads that address the impact of failed rides at every level.
