I honestly have no idea why people are so negative about CAE. I'm at the Mesa location (KFFZ) and I think it is a great place to work. There's never a shortage of students, you'll fly 60-80 hours a month (I know that's a big range, it just depends on how many students are allocated to you).

The pay is great, and you get two days off a week, paid vacation time and benefits. What else can you ask for? It's a professional place to work and just about every instructor there really wants to be there and enjoys it.
Thanks for that information. I saw on the web that CAE still operates out of Goodyear. Is that a foreign student base as well as Mesa? Would a pilot with over 1500 total have a difficult time getting a job there? Also, is there as training contract? Thanks.

Sorry I don't want to Hijack this thread but can anyone tell me if they have experience as a student with this school? Specifically being an american student. They mentioned that as of yet they have not had any US students...i'm wondering why that is. I am interested in their program and considering moving to phx.

I'm currently at the Goodyear location, and as of a meeting we had this week the Goodyear location should be fully merged with the Mesa Location by the end of Sept. I am a new hire here, (hired post CAE's Oxford takeover)but because I had previous flight instruction experience I was hired directly into the Oxford (European) program. There is a training contract.

If you want more deets PM me.

It seems that you aren't receiving PM's yet. I'll wait a few days and take you up on that. Thanks!!

They are hiring, both into the FAA and EASA programs. Best to call HR and send in your resume. If you want some specifics pm me.
