Do both pilots need ILS rating?
Hello,
This may seem like a stupid question but I've been trying to find the answer EVERYWHERE, including searching aircraft regulations but seem to be unable to find the answer.
My question is if I am colorblind to the point where I cannot obtain an ILS rating - can I still fly if the captain is ILS rated? For example, if I am a private plane owner wanting to fly an ILS route at night - do both of us need to be ILS rated in order to legally fly?
More specifically, as a Canadian pilot I know I can obtain my ILS for daytime only operations with my color vision but again the question stands can I still fly ILS at night if my copilot has their night-flying rating (a seperate rating altogether in Canada).
Thanks in advance guys.

If you own the plane (that requires only one pilot). U can hire a pilot to fly it. You can sit in the seat and do stuff, but the PIC that you hired is responsible and in command. My mom used to land and takeoff and do everything, with no license. My dad was the licensed pilot and was the PIC and responsible for the flight and the aircraft.
