How Do You Read Or Decode The Remark Section Of A Taf??? (i Expect This Question To Pop Up On The Oral).


Example: Klax 280250z 29015kt 10sm Sct025 Sct055 14/09 A2997 Rmk Ao2 Slp147 T01440094 53003

Has to do with the Type of station (A02), the sea level pressure (SLP 147), and the actual temperature (T014) This is a METAR by the way. Its not very important but a fav of some examiners since it 'really not that important"

The actaul temp and actual Dew point to 10's of a degree. A02= Precip Discriminator

Just remember that the SLP is in millibars, so 147 means 1014.7.
