Default Jacksonville, FL FAA Examiner

I am looking for a DPE in Jacksonville, FL with the juice to add type ratings to FAA licenses. I have about 25 naval officers flying the Boeing P-8A (737-900) who would like to add this type rating to their certificates. If you are an examiner or know one, please pass the info.

Appreciate the help.

Adam

Why do you need an examiner? Go to the FSDO with Aircraft Commander checkride paperwork and designation letters. They should add it with no issues. That is how it is done with us in the E-6 (707/720 type). The only time we need an examiner is when we do ATP rides.

Edit - I see the closest FSDO is Orlando, so that explains it. Still probably worth the field trip. Make it an out/in.

You can't PM yet... But I know several of the examiners in the local area. I'd talk to Ernie Strange. If you need help getting in contact with him just let me know and I'll see what I can do.

I'm not sure how the whole type rating conversion works, but I don't think EJS can do any checks for the 737. Doesn't it have to be an examiner with a 737 type?

Sounds like the old P-3 boys have a racket going on down there. Well done. How are you getting your ATP check rides? Are you doing them in the sim or able to pick up an examiner in the plane?
