Default R-ATP

Anyone know how long it takes for the FAA to grant approval for the r-atp to a college?

Its been multiple times that i've gone and talked to the academic advisor who is also in charge of the university's aviation program to work on this approval and he told me that he already has filled the paperwork and sent it in to the FSDO. This was back in late August/early September...

He told me the process takes a couple months and well, its been five months...

Just wondering. Any thoughts...

FSDO's do not authorize this. It goes to Washington and is taking several months to receive. By sending it to the FSDO they may have delayed the process unless the POI knew it goes to Washington.
