Building ME Time in S. Florida

Is anyone looking to split ME time during the holiday season in S. Florida (KFXE or Miami Area)? I'm an MEI and need to build some time pretty quickly (I tried the instructing method, but the waiting list for new ME students at my school is long and probably won't be assigned one for another two months).

I think I'm like the only guy from SoFla here. I can't 'till mid next-year.

EDIT - How would you split it?

What kind of plane? How many hours? What's the cost?

I might be able to squeeze in a little time to do some flying.

Details

There's a Seminole in FXE for $165/hr. We can split it down the middle. It doesn't have to be all under the hood since I'm an MEI. If interested contact me at [email protected]. I haven't made any contacts yet, but if anyone's interested I'll call the FBO and get more details.

be careful logging the time as dual instruction while you are splitting the cost. The FAA may not see this as legitimate instruction, and THEY will punish you if they find out. I will try to find the link to a couple of cases that are exactly like this in which CFI's/MEI's lost their privilages for a period of time. Also the place that you are renting it from may have rules against this in their rental agreement.

I think if there's instruction going on it's legit. I don't care if it's ATC procedures, instrument approaches, basic instrument attitude flying, how to fly an autopilot, GPS ops, etc. I've done this with my flight instructor buddies doing IPC's and BFR's for each other, we fly the same as when we fly with students. There's always something you can teach someone else, even if the person receiving instruction is an MEI or ATP.
