Default Flight school enrollment stats?

With the shortage looming (regional & 135), I'm curious about the enrollment numbers at flight schools across the country. Domestic student figures only please.

Also, what are your students goals? 121, 135, 91, etc.

How are they getting funding these days?

I know of a few flight schools that have recently shut their door forever. Don't know the stats, but I'm sure less people are joining the aviation ranks than in recent years.

Man, if I was in airline management, now is the time I'd cram concessionary contracts down the throats of my pilots. That would really help get new pilots in the door at my company and at the flight schools, too.

From what I've read, Daniel Webster and SCSU closed their flight programs. I know of a few mom and pops that have closed up recently. I also know of some mom and pop operations that have opened and it seems every other day I see an ad stating that ATP flight school is opening yet another location.

As you can see from my signature 8,651 commercials were issued last year. My prediction is that both 2013 and 2014 exceed that level. Just my opinion.

True there may be many "fly by nite" start ups popping up here and there but in no way do they compensate for the loss of these flight schools beaming out IMO.
How can anyone in this day and age afford to spend the money necessary to obtain all the licenses and ratings needed to start out making welfare wages?
I believe the rewards do not outweigh the sacrifices especially with the current generation of folks expecting immediate gratification.

Places like Dean international , Transpac and Aviator , and ADF airways mainly cater to foreigners , so almost every certificate coming out of those schools are people returning home to fly their 777 with their high time of 250Tt lol.
