Yes anyone have it? The idiots at corporate won't give it to me to ask if I can walk in and tour the facility today. If they can't then they can't but I mean can I not ask THEM and not the people in Florida.... Thanks.

I think it's their standard protocol to schedule all tours through their main office. You call them and they will contact the local office for you, so the local instructors don't have to deal with customer service calls.

I managed to get the local number for APA through unofficial channels. From what I've discovered, if too many people know it, they change it. Good from not making the CFIs answer phones all day standpoint. Bad if you are trying to reschedule a flight for the third time.

The instructors are flying and hopefully instructing either in the air or ground, and not wasting their time fielding calls. That's why you call corporate. Individual locations don't have a front office or receptionist.

A tour should take all of 2 minutes. Tiny one room office with a FTD stuck in the corner. They will teach you what you need to know to pass the checkride, added a MEI awhile back, pretty painless if you are prepared.

Well to complete the "scoop" on the picture for last Friday when I posted this... I wouldn't have even attempted to contact them if it had been a nice day but there was severe weather all over the place.. So no instructors were flying because the Major big boys were even grounded. The point that made me mad was just the thought of someone in FL not knowing what the situation is and not letting me ask someone who does know. I would never hassle instructors or personnel doing their jobs out of me not giving enough notice for a tour but this situation was different (NO planes were going anywhere).... My two cents but I'll try again, maybe.

The 'idiot's' at corporate could be your future instructors.

They set up the tours, not the guys at the office. If they cant get ahold of the guys at the office then neither will you. Patience is a virtue.

If you are that desperate, walk into the office. If the wx is severe and no body is flying, do you think they will be at the office? Most likely not.

Yes I understand that, however what I am stating is the fact that I really didn't understand why I couldn't try to contact someone being that it was a day where flights were conducted undoubtedly that morning but were no longer being conducted at the time I was going to visit... Not complaining about "instructors" I'm complaining about the structure of communication.

I hear a few ATP guys coming out of the woodwork here on this thread, (I feel it anyway) I'm not bashing you guys... I wouldn't be trying to go there if I was.
