Tailwheel Endorsement near Central CT
Hi guys,
Any suggestions on who to use for a tailwheel endorsement in central CT? I got my PPL 3 years ago, IFR past summer, and now at 225 hours, looking to build some time & then get my commercial/CFI and teach part time (day job is engineering, but still considering pro pilot career, which is a different topic!).
Our local spin-endorsement guy at KHFD is Joe Gauthier (www.flythecub.com), but his cub has had some registration issues for a while. I've seen a decathlon at AD-UP Aviation at KBAF, and a cub at KSNC.
Everything I've read says that tailwheel time is great for improving stick and rudder skills. I haven't had anything but 172 time (and a few hrs 150), so the variety will be nice.
Thanks for the suggestions!

I've heard nothing but good things about George Munson up at BAF (I've spent A LOT of time there too, lol). I've met him a few times, but never got to fly with him. Everything I can tell, he's held in pretty high regard, and seems like a really nice guy.
Also may want to look into the school at Great Barrington GBR. I don't know much about them, but I do know they have a few J-3s.
Good Luck

Thanks!
I left a voicemail for George (haven't met him yet).
I've been trying to coordinate with KGBR for a few weeks now, but the primary cfi is an American Airlines check airman, and keeps getting called in on his days off. That, and something about little cubs not handling gusting winter winds like the 172 does, he he. Had two prior weekends scrubbed due to wx. It would be neat to get some ski time, though.

Made my reservation with George and his Citabria for Monday afternoon at KBAF. Can't wait! Thanks Smac...
Hope to get some light acro in too. Haven't been past 60deg bank or done spins, so it'll be a great experience.
