Default TransPac

Does anyone currently work at TransPac or worked there very recently and can give me any info? I know theres already been threads on TransPac and I have read them all but it seems the company changes quite frequently. I am mainly wondering how you like working there as opposed to other flight schools you may have instructed for. Also what is the pay? Typical work day and week? Will you get any multi time if you have your MEI going in? If so how much? How are the students?

Hey there, Transpac is a good place just finished working there a couple months ago. Build lots of time! Salary base 28k, usually worked 6 days a week to build time faster, they would pay you for 6th day added on to salary. The multi'a do fly a lot usually the more senior guys, peps are in and out super fast so doesn't take long if you want to fly the twin. Fyi all you need is 50 hours for regionals now and it slows your hours down a Tpac. The students have about 25 hours in sim and 25 in twin I believe. Archers are where the real hours are. Students are okay, they work really hard!😀 I know they were offering a signing bonus of 5k and a new headset, not sure if that's going on. I would recommend it for sure. Nicely run company.

Thanks a lot. How many hours could you normally work on your days off and how much would you get paid for those hours?

I worked at Transpac before, they will train you for a week to familiar local air space, then you are on line to fly your butt off. I build about 900 hours less than a year and went to regional. If your goal not regional, you can upgrade to be a check pilot or management to earn more $$$. Overall, good experience for me. Good luck guys, don't go to Florida to answer phone call and work for free

Does anyone know anything about the accident at DVT on Wednesday? I saw it on Phoenix news online. They went on to bash Transpac for "20 accidents" in the last 5 years, when the type right below them says 20 incidents. Huge difference. Anyways, good to hear no one was hurt.
