121 Capt

-Stroll in to the Pilot resource center about 1 hour prior to departure.
-Check the computer for co. email and print up the release/Flt plan.
-Check the wx and make sure the dispatcher has put enough fuel on (ie. add 1000 pounds)
-Shoot the sh_t with others gathered in the resource center (AKA whine cellar)
-Look on the monitor to find the gate and see if we're delayed.
-Stop at Starbucks for a Grande Americano.
-Put tie on just prior to gate arrival.
-Get to gate about 30 prior to dept.
-Meet with FO and hand him the paperwork--brief the FAs--take off tie.
-Build my nest (get comfortable in the seat and run preflight flows).
-Brief the FO on standard procedures and any special items.
-Run the preflight scan and call for the before start checklist.

That's about it. The FO does more of the hands on "work". He is suspose to be at the jet 45 prior.
