Anyone heard of ABTech?

ABTech Community College offers an Career Pilot Technology A.A.S. Degree. I have a good amount of credits already (50 or so) mostly aviation related classes. So I'm sure I can finish this Associates relatively quickly. I spoke to an admissions councilor and he stated that after two years you earn an Associate in Applied Science degree along with your private pilot license, instrument rating, and commercial pilot license (assuming you pursue the Career Pilot option). If you complete the commercial pilot license you will have a minimum of 190 hours, but most likely you will leave with a little over 200 hours, as most students do not obtain their licenses right at the FAA minimum.

What really surprised was the price. The flight training is estimated to cost $40,000 and the cost of the degree is approximately $5,000.

Why is the cost of the flight training drastically lower then say Aerosim's tuition ($70-80k)?

Does this sound like a better idea to go here over Aerosim?

No multi engine and no cfi - cfii

multi is around 6k, and cfi 5k and cfii 4k.

plus aersoim is a pilot mill just like atp and charges a lot more.

Could I get my licenses here at ABtech then my multi-engine add on and cfi ratings somewhere else? Wouldn't that be cheaper?
