Default Need ME rating in Texas area

I finally have some free time to get a ME rating. But my two local cfi's are tied up and can't get in with the FAA examiner for a month. If I don't get it done in a few weeks it maybe next year before I have time again. Self employed farmer and have some down time currently. I live in west tx area but can travel anywhere within 300 miles etc... I would like to start in a couple of days and be done in a week. I have a solo endorsement to fly my Seneca iii from my instructor and have 30+ hours of ME time.

I am looking at Atp in Dallas.
Open to other options.

Can do training and check ride in my Seneca .Some frown on doing ME training and check ride in turbocharged plane. However I would be better prepared for emergencies if I trained in it. Or I can go to atp and finish in one of theirs. Need to get the check ride over with.

Thanks, Jon

If you have 30+ hours and a solo endorsement, can't you have your CFI sign you off for a check ride a schedule with a DPE anywhere nearby? There are lots of other DPEs around the state.

Knock it out with ATP in GKY or ADS. The PA44s are probably all glass though. So if you aren't comfortable with that then you might want to look elsewhere. They also use the G430 so you might want to get familiar with that too.

Good luck!

You can try Slipstream Aviation at KRBD...I'm working on my multi there in a PA-30 with a G530 and 496. Great instruction and good rates.
