Question Any Information On Polk State College

I am trying to be sure my son is making a good move attending Polk State College In Florida for flight school. It's a AA to BA program and enables him to get an RATP at 1000 hours. I am concerned that they are not affiliated with any airlines like other programs. If you know any good, bad or ugly please share. The head of the flight program said being affiliated with airlines is just not necessary.

This is correct. Your first step in the airlines is the regionals, and anyone should be able to get a job at any regional of his/her choice for years to come, likely through the end of the decade.
