I have been out of this game a long time, a friend is looking for recommendations on examiners for PVT checkride.

Where in Central Florida? Also, make sure your friend is aware that East Central Florida DPEs are some of the most difficult in the country.

I'm not sure if that link worked correctly. It's Dave Garner. He's out of Tampa/St. Pete area. He'll travel to you(I was in Orlando) from what I remember or you can go to him.

Pass Good Luck from my side to your friend for his checkride.
Advice from my side is-
Tell him to try to do a practice checkride with another instructor before he actually takes the real checkride. This is just like a dress rehearsal. And if he has only flown with one instructor than the stress of flying with a stranger will be similar to checkers.
