Default Private To Airline Path

I have started working on my private pilot at the beginning of January...im coming up on the oral portion of the program. After I get my private pilot's licencse what would be the next step in getting a job interview with a legacy airline? Your thoughts and feedback are greatly appreciated.

You'll need to:
  • Complete your instrument, commercial, and ATP ratings.
  • Gain several thousand hours of flight time - in jets.
  • And preferably hold a college degree
The rest is cake.

"The rest is cake"

LOL.

You might want to check out the homepage at jetcareers.com
More info there about your specific question. I could write a book on it but it's already been said.
