SE ATP is cheapest and quickest method... Just don't bust the check.

Default Same boat here..

I am in the same situation as the other person in the thread with a FAA Multi ATP and a lapsed single engine ICAO license and wanting to get a FAA single private.

I have the additional problem that I cannot reach the TSA on AFSP (email or phone) to ask them if i need a TSA authorization for the training (and check ride). I am checking with TSA as I have already have been issued with:

Initial+instrument+multi engine rating, and its not a category 1 or 2 training event, so dont know what to choose there..

I will never fly single engine commercial and the advantage to having a FAA private is if the medical ceases to become a requirement then i can enjoy flying to a ripe old age one day

Can anyone shed some light on which way to go with this.
