This exactly. Blatantly lied to us. Then tried telling us we are making it up, they never said that... How would i benefit by saying all this and now leaving the program? Just wanted to bring this to light!

Sorry its a PDF but is a good read. They got me for some good money. Hoping we can go after them to recoup our losses

I had a student recently go to Eastern Michigan. I asked him numerous times whether they had R-ATP approval and he swore they did, even after I suggested he check the official listings to be sure, before spending all that money.

What's the deal with EFC? EMU seemed to fill in the void left by LCC closing, yet they still can't manage. Most folks go to WMU regardless, and seem content paying $250/HR for a PPL in a Cirrus. SJS starting early.

$159/hr for a G1000 172 plus $59/hr for a low time instructor at EFC/EMU. So $218/hr for a 1,500 hour operation. Ill stick with my $135 an hour (172 & 10,000+ hour Instructor) for my private. If they can somehow get it, I may go back after getting my PPL. As of now, people should be avoiding EFC like the plague until they quit telling people false information to get them through the door...

Going back flying tomorrow

59/HR for a CFI that probably sees a quarter of that!
Not as bad as what I saw at some contract schools though. One place billed clients 70/HR and we saw 18 of it.

That's a good rate for SE MI. Going rate seems to be 100-110/HR for a piston single.
