Default Student Looking in Dallas

Hello,

I am looking for any CFI who would be willing to train me? or know any good place to go.

I am a graduate student, so my budget is a bit tight. I am willing to work out any sort of arrangement. If all else fails, my plan is to attend TCC next year so I can pay by taking out more student loans. I would do that now but it has been the worst possible case of scheduling conflict you could ever imagine... this being my last semester of graduate school, it's no surprise that I am giving priority to it!

I am willing to travel and can move my work schedule around anyway to make it work.

Try the US Aviation Academy in Denton, I think they have a program with TCC as well. Not sure what the program is but you can check it out on their website or just go and pay them a visit!

Try Mikes Flying Service in Terrell, Texas (KTRL) as they have really cheap rates and I have known Mike for a while. I met him when I worked the line in Tyler, and he cranks out ratings pretty quickly. His DPE is the nicest, and most fair DPE I have taken a check with. He gave me my PPL and my CMEL. Mike is real laid back, his family owns the FBO there, Terrell Aviation.

Mike's Flying Service, Flight School, Terrell, Dallas

He has PA-28, PA-34, C-152, C-172, Eurcoupes (he has like 14 I think?) and a few Apaches.

He's pretty cool, low key, low stress, and fun to work with. They have a CATS testing center in house, which is cool.

As far as US Aviation, I have friends who fly for them and I was flying with a guy in a C90 to Florida last week who was one of the first CFI's back in the 1990's there. I have no experience with US Aviation, but if you want I have 3 contacts for CFI's who work there.

I flew with ATP in Addison and Arlington, which is cool....but comes with the typical flaws of most big flight schools.

Hope this helps.

Another option is Mesquite Aviation out of KHQZ. That is where I took my first few flights, but went with a local CFI later as he was closer.

I know this post is a little more then a month old, but I'm currently instructing at US Sport Aircraft over at Addison. If you are interested, we teach in relatively new czech sportcruisers with some other planes coming on the line in the next few weeks/months.

Feel free to shoot me a message if you have any questions.
