Gonna have to disagree. Used Shep Air. Not a single ? Was on my written. 80% of my test was DC3 performance. Good luck. We are all counting on you.

I am using Sheppard as well. Trying to figure out how much time per day to dedicate to it? I take my test in just over a month.

Hah! +1 Shep Air (took in 2014 or 2015...or this past July minus however many months the written is good for :P ) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
Also for those using Shep Air:
Follow their study instructions! Don't try and memorize it like a mil MQF. I didn't listen at first and wasted about two weeks. Then spent ~3 weeks (WAG. study as much as you need to) using their method(s) studying 2hr max per day and scored something in the 90s. Memorize their graphs and memory aides for the applicable sections and recreate them on your scrap paper as soon as they allow you to get started on the test. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
How long ago/when did you take the test?

Personally, I feel like Gleim is a better study aid. Far clearer and more thorough explanations for right and wrong answers.
Sheppard Air is GREAT, don't get me wrong, but I'd say its better at being a memorization aid, less so a study aid. If someone just wanted the best tool for passing the written, I'd recommend Sheppard Air...but not as a study aid, necessarily. |

Agreed, Sheppard makes the test an eye test, the correct answers pop out at you with no thinking needed. After using Sheppard I got a 96% on the test with ease. |
Sheppard Air! Took 4 written exams with their product and never scored below 96 on all exams. 2x100s with NO problems! Took the tests and within 2 seconds of seeing the question already knew the answer!

How many hours did you study to pass the written? Shepard is saying about 30, is that a realistic number?

If you are studying for a month+, you're just forgetting stuff and then learning it again, possibly incorrectly. Knock it out in one sucky week. |
I think your right. I've been looking at it little by little and that's not the way. I did a whole section answer only the again with all choices. Was so easy doing the recommended way.Took a practice test after that one section got 69. I figure I will just study one more section a neglect the others and that will push me over 70%. I know some people care about high score but I could care less. Never seen a check ride harder or easier over the score.

I used the ASA book back when I took the ADX. Dispatcher written is essentially the ATP with a couple of extra dispatch questions thrown in. I think that as long as you're constantly scoring in the 85-95% range on the practice tests for the various prep software out there, you'll do fine.
